As on his stage of life, Blake continues without missing a note, reaching out to educate, inform and lend a step up to any musician looking to learn or grow in their careers. Blake understands the brass-knuckle commitment and hard-core stance a man must take to be a real success in the music business. Blake not only studies music, he has education in marketing and strategic management, works out regularly and is an athlete. Sarah Jane steps from St Louis with her lush,sultry and soulful voice in the tradition of a “red hot mama,” along with the Blue Notes to bring you horn infused swingin’ hot jazz and St Louis Blues from the 1920’s to the 50’s. Sarah Jane and The Blue Notes are one of the most festive dance bands in St. Louis, are a favorite among local venues, lindy dancers, and have been featured in local music festivals. It’s a sound that seamlessly blends speakeasy, New Orleans dixieland, Harlem night club, juke joint, big band swing with a touch of old time blues.
