Singing and Dreams

Wayne Bell LOMM Reports

Katie Flemming is a burgeoning performing and recording artist who believes in the power of reaching for a dream. Her dream of reaching the world with her singing started with her first solo performance at the age of four, and she shares her inspiration with others through her gifts of time and charitable works. Hard-working and energetic, she balances her dreams, charities and education during her senior year in high school. Katie is getting comfortable in front of huge audiences having performed at NCAA National Championships, U.S. Olympic Games, minor league baseball games, national Christian music festivals and even the U.S. Capitol in Washington, DC. With audiences up to 20,000 at such events, her dream of reaching the world is just starting to pick up steam.

A recording artist since 2012, Katie has recorded in studios from New York to Los Angeles and Nashville to Miami, building character from each session.  In the studio, she finds inspiration from her collaborators and pushes herself to greater musical heights.

Katie believes that the dreams of others are as important as her dreams and gives generously of her valuable time.  In 2016, she founded the non-profit Katie’s Books for Kids which aims to donate used books to pediatric patients in Children’s Hospitals.  She also donates her time to collecting food for local food pantries to combat childhood hunger.  In recognition of her 1,000 plus hours of volunteer work, she was awarded a lifetime achievement award by Missouri Governor Eric Greitens.  Katie’s pursuit of her dreams shows that she not only wishes to be a voice of a community but also give her gifted voice to the world.
